The departure of The Big Hoot owls left many of you in a feathery flap! Well, the good news is Birmingham’s second adventure is mysteriously taking shape!

Repeating The Big Hoot’s multi-award-winning formula, Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and Wild in Art are teaming up to present The Big Sleuth.

To most people, the word ‘sleuth’ means a private detective, but it’s also the collective noun for a group of bears! Bizarre but true.

Birmingham will bring both definitions together in the summer of the 2017 and the Sun Bear, the world’s smallest species of bear (now threatened with extinction) is the inspiration for a brand-new sculpture for this event.

These incredible creatures are sure to inspire creativity and generate plenty of fun for all you sleuth spotters on the trail!  After which, the bears will be auctioned to raise valuable funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

NURSERY T&Cs

 

BIG SLEUTH DISCOUNT CODE:

Nursery Offer:

10% off first month’s fees at one of our nurseries when booked for 2 or more sessions. Offer valid until 31st December for places booked to start before July 2018. (To redeem offer show a member of management your mobile phone app reward)

ADMISSION:

A completed Application & Reservation Fee Form and Registration Fee are required to secure your child’s place.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The Registration Fee of £50 covers administration and settling in sessions. It is non-refundable.(Places are held in good faith for parents and can result in turning away other requests; it has therefore become necessary to adopt this policy, to try as far as possible to avoid cancellations).

FEES & INVOICES:

Fees are payable monthly in advance on the first day of attendance for all full and part time places. Extra sessions must be booked in advance and are invoiced separately. These must also be paid for in advance. Accounts are payable by standing order, debit or credit card, cash and cheque. Seesaws also accept all childcare vouchers. We can arrange on your behalf, if appropriate – Free Entitlement from your LEA (more information will be given when your child becomes eligible). Invoices will be issued at the beginning of the first week in a month. Seesaws operates an accounting system of 4 weeks and 5 weeks as follows – January, February, April, May, July, August, October, November = 4 week months; March, June, September and December = 5 week months. In any 4 week month fees must be paid in full by the end of the second week, and in a 5 week month, by the end of the third week. All standing orders, voucher payments, cheques and card payments must be cleared by this time. Any parent whose fees remain unpaid after these dates, without prior permission of the Nursery Manager, risks their child’s place being withdrawn. Any payments that are cancelled or returned from the bank will incur a £25 administration charge, and the parent will be asked only to pay by card or cash in the future. A sibling discount is applied to the costs for a second child. All discounts are applied to core provision only and do not apply to other services. Unless we are in breach of these terms and conditions all booked sessions must be paid for regardless of a child’s attendance. No refunds are given for child sickness under 2 weeks. If a child is off sick for more than 2 weeks supported by a GP note, half fees will be charged after the first 2 weeks until the child returns.Seesaws are open all year including Bank Holidays with the only exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Full fees are charged for all weeks including those with Bank Holidays. If you expect to be late collecting your child please notify the nursery as soon as possible. Un-notified late collection will be charged at the rate of £20 per 15 minutes to cover emergency staffing and other arrangements. In case of default on payment the nursery reserves the right to apply a £50 administration fee for preparation of court papers and interest will be charged at 6% over the bank’s prevailing base rate. The nursery is not responsible for collection of fees from any third party except in the case of statutory nursery education funding allowance.

The nursery will give parents one months’ notice of any increase in fees.

OPENING HOURS:

The nursery is open for the hours as specified in the nursery leaflet, five days a week, Monday to Friday. Full time places are full opening hours, with part time places operating as sessions or hourly bookings. All meals are included according to the time of day places are required.

TERMINATION, CANCELLATION, CHANGE OF SESSIONS:

One month’s notice in writing is required by either party for any change of sessions or termination of agreement. If parents choose to leave prior to the end of their notice, fees are non-refundable. The minimum period for any permanent change of sessions is one month. If the notified start date is changed by the parent, we reserve the right to charge from the original start date notified on the Enrolment Form. The nursery reserves the right to terminate the Agreement with immediate effect in cases of non-payment of fees, or if a parent, carer or child displays abusive, threatening or otherwise inappropriate behaviour, or for any other reasonable cause. Intimidation or abuse of our staff will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination. In all other cases the standard notice period of one month will apply.

HOLIDAY CLUB T&Cs

Holiday Club Offer:

Offer valid until 31st Oct 17 but must attend minimum of 2 days during a week. To redeem this offer call 0121 382 0401 or visit one of our branches to make a booking. (Note: Offer open to new and current children for the Holiday Club, Quote MOTHERBEARSPECIAL when booking)

ADMISSION:

A completed enrolment form is required before your child can attend the Holiday Club. (Enrolment form required for ALL new children). If this is not completed then your child will not be able to attend the Holiday Club. 

FEES & INVOICES:

Payment is due by (2 Fridays before holiday club date) failure to do so will unfortunately result in your child not being able to attend our holiday club. 7 days written cancellation notice is required for any days that need to be cancelled. We are also happy to take cash, Card payments or cheques made out to ‘Seesaws Day Nursery’  (not Kool Kids Club). We also accept payment from most childcare voucher providers.
